If you haven’t been watching what Adobe is doing, head on over to Adobe Labs at http://labs.adobe.com. Checkout all their recent developments and programs to come. You can play around with some of the things that are in Beta right now! Above is a video of Adobe’s digital color wheel called “Kuler”. You can demo it online for free. This is the closest thing to a real color wheel that I’ve seen, actually it’s better than a color wheel. You can import photos from Flickr.com and sample out the colors to create instant color schemes. This is a great tool for any artists, especially web designers and interior designers who need ideas quickly.
Adobe has really taken color, “outside the box” with this one. If I haven’t already spent hours on my computer already, now I am spending hours playing with a color wheel, just to see what I can make. How messed up is that? Get a free Adobe ID by registering on the site and save all your favorite color schemes to use later. Once you have your Adobe ID you can even share your favorite color schemes and have other community members rate them. Just one more thing in my life to get addicted to…GREAT!
